Aesthetic Gum (Gingival) Surgery

Aesthetic Gum Surgery/Gum Sculpting may be for you if you have an uneven or low gum line, also called “Gummy Smile”. If it is a matter of only a few millimetres it is usually quite straight forward. However, sometimes this procedure needs more involved planning and may be best done in combination with restorations or veneers in order to restore the natural proportions of the teeth. The gums are reshaped to create and even and/or higher gum line and smile. The colour of the tooth underneath is often a bit more yellow than the part of the tooth that is already visible and that needs to be taken into account.
